FARM NEWS:
During the day we are picking fruit but early and late once the gate is closed the team are working hard on the farm and the fields!
All our newly planted 60 day strawberry plants are now up on the low or high tables.
The new potatoes are growing well and the onions are bulbing up!
The hens are laying well and getting their daily treats of bread crusts and maize!
We have been very busy out of opening hours planting out the pumpkin and squash seedlings. Now we need to hope for slightly cooler and un windy weather for them to start growing!
Busy tying in all the new canes from the tayberries and loganberries for next years crop.
Lastly and non stop - mowing! Busy time of year!
Our tea room is open during these days until 30mins before shop closing time, selling slices of our delicious homemade cakes and bakes, as well as sandwiches made from our homemade bread.
